Engaging the Community to Know, Love and Live Like Jesus

Reframe Small Group Study

This fall we will be starting a sermon series that will tie into a discipleship minded course for small groups entitled ReFrame. ReFrame is a ten-session video-based Bible study series that brings faith to life. Our lives are increasingly complex and so is our modern world. As a result, Christians often struggle to connect what they believe with what they do day by day. ReFrame addresses this challenge through a 10-week, film-based series that helps Christians connect faith with all of life; whether that be tending a garden, caring for children, pastoring a church, or negotiating a business deal.

ReFrame draws on the experience of the disciples on the Emmaus road as recounted in Luke 24, and seeks similar transformation in the midst of real life. The course invites participants to encounter Jesus in their everyday circumstances, understand the meaning of Jesus’s life and work in the biblical story, and respond to Jesus in practical and creative ways. ReFrame is not simply an intellectual exercise. Its primary goal is to help Christians open their eyes to see Jesus in new ways and then be filled with joy and confidence to live every aspect of life fully for him. Check out the video below for more information, or the website at http://reframecourse.com

We plan to have the video content shown in our  Fellowship Groups or weekly Bible studies to supplement the Sunday sermon series with a deeper discussion on the topics that will help us all ReFrame our faith. For those who are not a part of one of these weekly small groups, there will be an opportunity to watch the videos and discuss the lessons at a special Wednesday night meeting starting on September 25.
